Miss Universe 2018: Philippines' Catriona Gray brings home the crown

Catriona Gray from the Philippines asserted the Miss Universe 2018 crown on Monday, beating candidates from 93 different nations.

The 24-year-old Gray wore a shining red dress, which was propelled by a fountain of liquid magma in the Philippines, as she was given the crown at Bankok's Impact Arena.

She commented that she wore the red dress since "when I was 13 my mother said she had a fantasy that I would win Miss Universe in a red dress." She said her mother cried when they saw each other after she the opposition.

"Philippines is a previous military craftsman, who earned a dark belt when she was 12 years of age. Presently 24, this mold model and vocalist has raised assets for different foundations through advantage shows in her nation and abroad," one of the event's Thai hosts said while depicting Gray.

The topic of the current year's expo was 'Engaged Women' and was made a decision by seven ladies, including previous show victors, agents and a mold planner.

The Philippines recently won Miss Universe titles in 2015, 1973 and 1969.
